Abstract

The article is about the genre differentiation of TV documentaries. The portrait explanations are given in examples. Differences in the production of other documentary TV forms and television documentary are shown in research article as well. This article is also focuses on the theoretical and aesthetic requirements of portrait genre. At the same time, a subsidiary subgenres of  portrait genre - a biographical portrait, portrait-essay, portrait-interview are explained by examples.
